The different types of pollution are:

Pollutants, the components of pollution, can be either foreign substances/energies or naturally occurring contaminants.

Terrestrial ecosystems are land-based, while aquatic are water-based. The major types of ecosystems are forests, grasslands, deserts, tundra, freshwater and marine.

Land pollution is a major problem around the world and is caused by a variety of factors. Some of main causes of land pollution include deforestation/erosion, agriculture, industry, mining, landfills/waste, and urbanization/construction [2]. There are four main types of air pollution sources:

mobile sources – such as cars, buses, planes, trucks, and trains.

Participate in your local utility’s energy conservation programs.
