Diagnosing. Registered nurses (other than certified practice nurses) have the authority to diagnose conditions only. Under the Nurses (Registered) and Nurse Practitioner Regulation, you can make a nursing diagnosis that identifies a condition as the cause of a client’s signs or symptoms.
