Can I use Google Play credit to buy devices?

The biggest issue with Android/iOS streaming video compatibility is that it isn’t a two-way street. You can watch Google Play on iPhone, iPad or any other device. While you can watch iTunes content on a PC or laptop, there’s no place in the equation for Android devices.

To claim a reward, redeem an eligible gift card on the Google Play Store app:

Open the Google Play Store app .

Tap Menu Redeem.

Enter your gift card code.

You will see a confirmation that the gift card redemption was successful.

You’ll also see a notice that you earned a reward. This reward is now saved to your account.

With the arrival of the new Google Store, you may be wondering what will happen to all of the devices that were listed on Google Play. The short answer – they are gone. You also can’t use Google Play credit in the new Google Store (which makes sense since you can’t use Play credit for devices).

It’s accessible in the Play Store sidebar as “send gift.” You can send credit in the amount of $10, $15, $20, $25, $50, and $100. This can only be done with real money, though, not any Google Play credit you might have attached to your own account.

The credit can be used to purchase any app, game, movie, TV show, magazine or music that is found in Google Play. The credit can also be used for in-app purchases. You will have to pay for Play Store apps with either all Google Play credit or all credit card/carrier billing. It seems like I lost some of my credits.

With some apps, you can buy additional content or services within the app. Here are some examples of in-app purchases: A sword that gives you more power in a game. A key that unlocks more features of a free app. Virtual currency that can be used for purchases.

Google Wallet lets you leave your credit cards or cash in your pocket and pay with your phone. Making tap-to-pay work, however, requires turning on Near Field Communication (NFC), which enables your phone to talk to the payment terminal. Then, select Tap and pay.

To register or get details about the service, contact your service provider.

On the Apps screen, tap Settings → NFC, and then drag the NFC switch to the right.

Touch the NFC antenna area on the back of your device to the NFC card reader.

To set the default payment app, tap Tap and pay and select an app.

Now one app called Google Pay. Google Pay — Google’s new unified payments service, which combines Google Wallet and Android Pay — is finally rolling out today with a new app for Android devices.

This week, Google announced Android Pay—a way to pay from your phone. Basically, Android Pay is the same tap-to-pay feature of Google Wallet, except way less of a pain to use. With Google Wallet, you had to launch an app, then type in a pin so Google could unlock your credit cards.

Android Pay can only perform a limited number of transactions in dead zones. With Android Pay, they’re generated in the cloud, which is what Host Card Emulation is. If you’re without Internet and need to use Android Pay, the app will tap into a limited number of stored tokens on the device.

Once May 1st rolls around, you won’t be able to add any money to your Wallet balance from a debit card or bank account. You can still receive money from others after that point. Google also mentions that both American Express and Simple offer debit accounts with similar features.

Money transfers using your checking account, debit card or credit card are processed instantly, but can take up to three days to clear. You also won’t ever pay a fee to deposit money to your linked bank account from your Google Wallet Balance.

Here’s how to add money to your Google Wallet balance on the desktop site:

Visit wallet.google.com and click on “Payment methods” in the left-hand menu.

Click “Add to Wallet Balance,” select how you would like to add money and type in the amount of money you want to add.

Click “Add money.”

Send money to a phone number

Open the Google Pay Send app or go to pay.google.com.

Tap Send or request. If you’re on your phone, go to step 3.

Tap $0 and enter the amount you want to send.

Tap Send.

Enter your recipient’s phone number.

Confirm the amount and your payment method. You can also include a memo.

Tap Send.

Withdraw money. You can transfer money from your Google Pay balance to your linked bank account or debit card for free. Transfers to your debit card typically complete within minutes but may take up to 24 hours for some banks. Transfers to a bank account are usually done within 3 business days.

Google is expanding the payment options for the Google Play Store on Android devices today. In addition to a credit or debit card, billing to a carrier, or using a gift card, users can now purchase apps, books, songs, TV shows, and movies from the Google Play Store with a PayPal account.
